Our client is a middle sized investment firm and one of the leaders in the market of solar utility scale projects in Central and South Europe. Our client has over 15 years of experience in the infrastructure sector and has assets in Europe, Latin America as well as Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n
For their team based in Zug, Switzerland, they are now looking for an PPA and Origination Manager for Europe to work alongside the Head of of the PPA and Origination team in expanding the project portfolio of the company in Europe and other regions.<\/p>\n
In this position you will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
Market development, origination and structuring of PPAs for a European based
\nportfolio of developed and acquired Wind and Solar projects
\nDevelopment, negotiation and closing of PPAs with Corporate, Utilities, Traders,
\nCommunities, Commercial and Industrial customers, etc.. All this with particular
\nemphasis on commercial aspects and on the bankability of the PPA and of the off
\ntaker.
\nDevelop and present business cases for the implementation of new renewable
\nenergy services, including full cost and revenue modelling.
\nOversee the implementation of new renewable energy services using a
\ncombination of internal resources and external suppliers.
\nWrite and implement a business plan for the renewable energy service offering.<\/p>\n

\nUniversity degree in economics, engineering, business, or similar is required
\n3-5 years work experience in energy markets, preferably previous commercial
\n(front office) experience in the European Renewable market
\nProven track record in the valuation, structuring, negotiation and execution of
\neither asset-backed transactions or structured commodity \/ cross commodity
\ntransactions
\nExperience and familiarity with non-standard power contract terms, ideally with
\nlong-term renewable off take agreements \/ PPAs and master trade agreements,
\nsuch as EFET, ISDA
\nStrong understanding of and view on European power market fundamentals,
\ninterconnections, generation assets, market players and market regulations
\nQuantitative modelling skills \u2013 demonstrable knowledge of either financial
\nmodelling of power assets or modelling and pricing complex energy structures
\nStrong team player able to co-operate with members from internal support desks
\n(Operations, Risk, Legal, other Front Office desks) to head the deal lifecycle from
\ninitiation to execution
\nStrong commercial mind-set and high level of initiative and motivation.<\/p>\n
\nAvailability to some travelling around Europe is required.<\/p>\n
