{"id":2556,"date":"2023-01-03T10:36:50","date_gmt":"2023-01-03T09:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kalerecruitment.com\/?p=2556"},"modified":"2023-01-03T10:36:50","modified_gmt":"2023-01-03T09:36:50","slug":"senior-geotechnical-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kale2.kalerecruitment.com\/en\/senior-geotechnical-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"SENIOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our client is one of the largest players in the offshore sector and we are now looking for Senior Geotechnical Engineer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Main responsibilities<br \/>\n1.Site Investigations Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ownership for Site Investigation area<\/li>\n<li>Plan, Manage, Supervise (both in-situ and laboratory) site investigation campaigns and\n<p>any related activities including arrangement of onboard representation; finally interpret geotechnical in-situ and laboratory testing data and coordinate interpretation of geophysical data with geoscientist\/ coordinate geoscientists works<\/li>\n<li>Procure and manage site investigation contractors and third party studies, by drafting relevant scope of work and technical specifications, evaluation of suppliers and regular follow-up during the works\n<p>2. Geotechnical Scope for Foundation Design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Ground Model contractor\/ support geophysicists for development by providing geotechnical input to define layering a material parameters.<\/li>\n<li>Scope and review Geotechnical Interpretative Reports for Foundations Design.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the supply of geotechnical data to the Foundation Designer by ensuring that\n<p>the most optimised data is used.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to develop own calculation files for design and installation checks of different\n<p>foundation typologies, considering industry established soil structure interaction<\/p>\n<p>models.<\/li>\n<li>Assist on delivering preliminary estimations for foundation design by considering\n<p>appropriate soil-structure interaction models. 3.Technical Support:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise and support other departments (consenting, procurement, HSEQ, project control etc).<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Transport &amp; Installation team in assessing the installation techniques for the specific ground conditions such as leg penetration assessment, drive ability studies amongst other tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Assist on maintaining and keeping up to date geo databases.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that lessons learned are properly documented and implemented.\n<p>4.Reporting and Project Controls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Control costs, deadlines, quality of site investigations and geo support contractors<\/li>\n<li>Report on progress, budget, schedule weekly\/ monthly. Produce reports as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Technical skills<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with planning geotechnical campaigns, both in-situ and laboratory programs including advanced texting such as anisotropic compression and cyclic degradation.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and numerical skills.<br \/>\nKnowledgeable with programming languages (Matlab, Python, etc) is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with FEM and advanced constitutive soil models will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with drieve ability analyses, SRD models and use of commercially available\n<p>.software (GRLWEAP).<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with GIS environments is desirable although not essential.\n<p>Academic Background<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2022 Civil Engineer with post-graduate studies in Geotechnics or Soil Mechanics<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our client is one of the largest players in the offshore sector and we are now looking for Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
