Our client is a company operating in the renewable energy sector- one of the leading investors in solar and battery storage in Central and South Europe. For their financial team in London we are now searching for a Structured Finance Associate. You will be part of a growing team of leading expert in the field of M&A, structured finance, project finance working in London. Our client is one of the most rapidly growing companies in the sector with a team of over 150 people in Europe.<\/p>\n
The structured finance team\u2019s primary focus is leading, structuring and negotiating the company’s financings through both project level and corporate level debt, as well as leading M&A and divestments across our operational jurisdictions.<\/p>\n
In addition, the structured finance team works closely with the global business in making investment decisions.<\/p>\n
This role is primarily focused on the quantitative analysis needed to support investment decisions, debt raising and M&A processes globally. This requires a good understanding of all aspects of solar and financing including (but not limited to) power markets, development processes, engineering, project finance structures, corporate debt structures, debt financing processes, derivative instruments, tax and accounting.<\/p>\n
Financing<\/p>\n
Manage the qualitative aspects of project and portfolio financing\u2019s<\/p>\n
Analysis of preferred financing solutions on individual asset\/portfolio basis<\/p>\n
Analysis and implementation of project specific hedging requirements, through FX\/Inflation\/IRS products<\/p>\n
Management of required project advisors in conjunction with cross-functional support<\/p>\n
Review and analysis all project relevant documentation<\/p>\n
Production and review of required information memorandums and investment papers<\/p>\n
Investment Decisions<\/p>\n
Maintain regional specific models and processes used by regional development teams to make investment decisions<\/p>\n
Have a good understanding of power markets, engineering implications, tax, accounting and project financing in all our operational jurisdictions<\/p>\n
Review investment papers and models prepared by regional development teams<\/p>\n
Collaborate with regional development teams to assess investment opportunities<\/p>\n
Collaborate regional development teams to ensure bankable solutions, whilst highlighting key deal issues and areas of exposure<\/p>\n
Participate in Project or Project portfolio Acquisitions<\/p>\n
Provide analysis to support asset valuation<\/p>\n
Collaborate with different matter experts to determine the asset valuation<\/p>\n
Perform investor due diligence processes<\/p>\n
Prepare investment papers of for senior management<\/p>\n
Divestments<\/p>\n
Prepare IM\u2019s and models for divestment processes<\/p>\n
Collaborate with different matter experts to maximise asset valuation<\/p>\n
Provide analysis to support divestment strategies decision making<\/p>\n
Manage external advisors where required<\/p>\n
